Dental Assistant

Mid America Health is seeking a Full-Time Portable Dental Assistant to join our growing School Smiles team, providing portable dental services to children at local schools in the Newark, OH area (2-hour radius).

About the role

This full-time, low-stress opportunity is ideal for a Dental Assistant interested in a non-private practice setting. The position operates 5 days per week (Monday - Friday, during school hours) and offers a rewarding way to give back by treating an underserved population.

Responsibilities

• Maintain portable equipment and supplies, as well as the company van, which remain in your possession at all times.
• Assist the Dentist in portable operatory setup inside schools, including chairside procedures as needed.
• Handle loading, unloading, and setup of the dental operatory inside schools.
• Perform various administrative duties.

Requirements

• Active Ohio X-ray License (required).
• Current CPR for Healthcare Providers (required).
• 1-year Dental Assistant experience (preferred).
• Willingness to travel within a 2-hour radius of Newark, OH.

Pay

$27.00 per hour for clinic hours worked and drive time.

Schedule

Monday - Friday, during school hours (no weekend hours).
