Key Responsibilities
- Aid dentists during various treatments such as exams, restorations, and surgeries.
- Prepares patients for procedures by explaining steps and ensuring their comfort.
- Ensures proper sterilization and maintenance of dental instruments and equipment.
- Takes and develops dental radiographs as needed.
- Maintains accurate patient records, including medical histories and treatment notes.
- Organizes dental materials, instruments, and trays for procedures.
- Efficiently manages appointment scheduling and patient flow.
- Ensures cleanliness and organization of treatment rooms.
- Assists with inventory management and ordering dental supplies.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Completed certification or diploma in Dental Assisting from a recognized institution.
- Proven experience as a Dental Assistant or in a similar clinical role.
- Knowledge of dental procedures, instruments, and sterilization techniques.
- Familiarity with dental software and patient management systems.
- Strong understanding of infection control and safety standards.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Effective teamwork and organizational abilities.
- High attention to detail.
- Basic computer proficiency.
Preferred Skills & Qualifications
- Experience with digital radiography and imaging systems.
- Radiology certification (if required by local regulations).
- Understanding of dental insurance processes and billing.
- Experience assisting in specialized procedures (orthodontics, oral surgery, etc.).
- Multilingual communication skills.
- Familiarity with advanced dental technologies and tools.
- CPR/BLS certification.
