About the role
We are seeking a Dental Assistant with a passion for service excellence to join our Dental team in the Dallas area.
Responsibilities
- Welcome and prepare patients for dental visits, ensuring comfort and explaining procedures.
- Set up treatment rooms, instruments, equipment, and materials for dental procedures.
- Aid the dentist during procedures using 4-handed dentistry, including chairside support.
- Take and process dental X-rays and impressions as required.
- Sterilize and maintain instruments and equipment in compliance with infection control standards.
- Provide patient education on oral hygiene, preventive care, and post-operative instructions.
- Manage scheduling, patient flow, and support administrative tasks including records and payments.
- Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with OSHA, HIPAA, and clinic regulations.
Requirements
- High school diploma; graduating from dental assistant school is preferred.
- Dental Assisting Certificate (Preferred).
- CPR Certification (Required).
- Knowledge of dental instruments and sterilization methods along with understanding of health & safety regulations.
- Prior experience as dental assistant.
- Ability to perform regulated non-surgical tasks like coronal polishing is a plus.
- Knowledge of electronic health record (EHR) systems; eClnicalWorks preferred.
- Bilingual skills in Spanish, Pashto, Burmese or Rohingya to assist a diverse patient population.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Graduating from dental assistant school preferred.
- CPR certification required.
- Experience in a dental setting preferred.
- Knowledge of dental instruments and sterilization methods.
- Understanding of health and safety regulations.
- Ability to perform regulated non-surgical tasks.
- Knowledge of electronic health record systems.
- Bilingual skills in Spanish, Pashto, Burmese or Rohingya.
