Dental Assistant

Heartland Dental is seeking a Dental Assistant to join their team at Family Dental Care on Washington. Responsibilities

• Greet and welcome patients from the start of their dental journey, ensuring patient comfort and providing appropriate education throughout treatment
• Conduct thorough reviews of patient health histories to provide quality care
• Take and process x-rays and other diagnostic assessments using advanced equipment (iTero 3D scanner, digital photography)
• Provide superior chairside assistance, including four-handed dentistry, to supported dentists during various procedures
• Utilize Dentrix for patient scheduling and record keeping
• Manage supply and inventory levels, placing and expediting orders as needed
• Partner with providers and the team to implement Heartland Dental systems and optimize office workflow

Requirements

• Working knowledge of dental procedures and terminology
• Experience working in a fast-paced and customer-centric environment
• If required under the state dental practice act, dental assistant certification and/or x-ray certification
• Excellent communication and organizational skills

Qualifications

• Minimum qualifications include 1+ years of experience in a dental setting
• Dentrix or other dental software experience preferred
• Dental assisting school certification preferred

• Ability to perform essential duties with or without reasonable accommodation
• Prolonged periods sitting and standing
• Able to lift and carry up to 45 pounds
• Availability to attend virtual training sessions periodically
