Dental Assistant

About the role

Dental Care of Lake Wylie is seeking a Dental Assistant to join their team. This role offers state-of-the-art technology, a supportive environment, and opportunities for continuous learning.

Responsibilities

• Greet and welcome patients, ensuring their comfort and providing appropriate education throughout treatment
• Conduct thorough reviews of patient health histories to provide quality care
• Take and process x-rays and other diagnostic assessments using advanced equipment
• Provide superior chairside assistance, including four-handed dentistry, to supported dentists during various procedures
• Utilize Dentrix for patient scheduling and record keeping
• Manage supply and inventory levels, placing and expediting orders as needed
• Partner with providers and team to implement Heartland Dental systems and optimize office workflow

Requirements

• Working knowledge of dental procedures and terminology
• Experience working in a fast-paced and customer-centric environment
• If required under the state dental practice act, certified in dental assistant and/or x-ray
• Excellent communication and organizational skills

Qualifications

• Minimum qualifications include 1+ years of experience in a dental setting
• Dentrix or other dental software experience preferred
• Dental assisting school certification preferred
• Ability to lift and carry up to 45 pounds occasionally
• Prolonged periods of sitting and standing
• Availability to attend virtual training sessions periodically
