Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and update patient medical records and vital signs.
- Perform X-ray procedures, develop images, and manage intraoral photographs.
- Assist with periodontal charting, prepare instruments, and set up for exams.
- Apply preventative care such as polish, fluoride, and sealants.
- Monitor nitrous oxide analgesia under supervision.
- Provide oral hygiene education and support infection control protocols.
- Assist with orthodontic procedures, including records and retainer fabrication.
- Perform clinical duties aligned with regulatory standards and work with blood when necessary.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED, BLS certification within 90 days, and Dental Assistant or EFDA registration.
- PREFERRED: Bilingual proficiency (English/Spanish) with an ALTA score of 10.
- Knowledge of dental terminology, materials, infection control, and oral health instruction.
- Strong manual dexterity, communication skills, and proficiency with dental and office computer systems.
