About the role
Join our team as a Dental Assistant, supporting dental providers and ensuring patient comfort and safety.
Responsibilities
- Maintaining and updating patient records and medical histories.
- Performing radiographic procedures and documenting them electronically.
- Aiding with periodontal charting, preparing instruments, and setting up for exams.
- Conducting preventative periodontal care and monitoring nitrous oxide analgesia.
- Providing oral hygiene education and supporting infection control protocols.
- Assisting in orthodontic procedures and other clinical duties per standards.
- Ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and functioning effectively in a clinical environment.
Qualifications
- A High School Diploma or GED, with BLS certification within 90 days.
- Registered Dental Assistant or EFDA certification.
- Bilingual skills (English/Spanish) preferred, with potential differential pay.
- Knowledge of dental terminology, materials, infection control, and oral health instruction.
- Manual dexterity, professionalism, and proficiency with electronic records and common software.
