Dental Assistant
Responsibilities
- Aid the dental team in delivering high-quality patient care.
- Set up treatment areas, sterilize equipment, and keep workspaces tidy.
- Provide patients with advice on maintaining good oral hygiene and post-procedure care.
- Support dentists during procedures, anticipating and fulfilling their needs.
- Efficiently manage appointment schedules and accurately record patient information.
Qualifications
- At least one to three years of prior dental assisting experience.
- Outstanding organizational skills with a meticulous attention to detail.
- Effective communication abilities and a warm, caring personality.
- Capable of handling multiple tasks simultaneously in a hectic environment.
- Proficiency in dental software and technological tools is preferred.
Requirements
Applicants must comply with the state-specific requirements for dental assistants, particularly those from Michigan, which mandate X-ray training certification upon employment. Those without certification at the time of hire have an 8-week grace period to obtain it.
