Dental Assistant

Responsibilities

• Aid the dental team in delivering high-quality patient care.
• Set up treatment areas, sterilize equipment, and keep workspaces clean and organized.
• Provide patients with oral hygiene education and post-procedure care instructions.
• Support dentists during procedures, anticipating their needs and facilitating smooth workflows.
• Accurately manage appointment scheduling and maintain comprehensive patient records.

Qualifications

• At least one to three years of prior dental assisting experience.
• Exceptional organizational skills with a meticulous attention to detail.
• Strong verbal and written communication abilities, along with a friendly and caring demeanor.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently and effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency in dental software and technology is preferred.

Requirements

• Must meet state requirements, including CPR certification, formal training for exposing X-rays, BORID certification, and annual continuing education (CE) requirements, as outlined for Massachusetts.
