Dental Assistant

Responsibilities

• Aid the dental team in delivering high-quality patient care.
• Set up treatment areas, sterilize equipment, and keep workspaces tidy.
• Provide patients with advice on maintaining good oral hygiene and post-procedure care.
• Support dentists during procedures, anticipating and fulfilling their needs.
• Efficiently manage appointment schedules and accurately record patient information.

Qualifications

• At least one to three years of prior dental assisting experience.
• Outstanding organizational skills with a meticulous attention to detail.
• Effective communication abilities and a warm, caring demeanor.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced setting.
• Proficiency in dental software and technological tools is preferred.

Requirements

Applicants must comply with the state requirements for dental assisting positions. In Michigan, new hires must provide proof of X-ray training certification within eight weeks of employment. This policy applies to all employees hired after October 1, 2023.
