Dental Assistant

Responsibilities

• Aid the dental team in delivering high-quality patient care.
• Set up treatment areas, sterilize equipment, and keep the office clean and tidy.
• Provide patients with oral hygiene tips and instructions for post-procedure care.
• Work alongside dentists during procedures, anticipating and fulfilling their needs.
• Efficiently manage appointment schedules and maintain accurate patient records.

Qualifications

• Previous dental assisting experience or relevant formal training is preferred, but we will consider candidates who are eager to learn.
• Exceptional organizational skills and a meticulous attention to detail.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, along with a friendly and caring demeanor.
• The ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and work effectively in a fast-paced setting.
• Basic proficiency in dental software and technology.

Requirements

• State-specific certifications and training may be required based on your location.
• Connecticut: Certification and proof of formal training to expose X-rays.
• Florida: Expanded Functions Dental Assistant (EFDA) certification and proof of formal training to expose X-rays (including FDOH Permit to expose X-rays).
• Georgia: CPR Certification, Expanded Functions Dental Assistant (EFDA) certification, and proof of formal training to expose X-rays.
• Massachusetts: CPR Certification, proof of formal training to expose X-rays, BORID certification and annual CE requirements must be completed per state regulations.
• Michigan: Evidence of X-ray training certification upon hire.
• New Jersey: Proof of X-ray training.
• New York: Not applicable.
• Oklahoma: Proof of formal training to expose X-rays (including FDOH Permit to Expose X-rays).
• Texas: CPR Certification, TSBDE: TX State Board of Dental Examiners.
