Dental Assistant
Responsibilities
- Set-up and breakdown of room.
- Sterilization of all equipment.
- Take/process x-rays.
- Assist in 4-handed dentistry.
- Work with portable/mobile equipment.
Requirements
- Graduate of Dental Assistant Program or on the job training.
- One (1) year or more dental assisting experience - preferred.
- Certified in Active X-Ray.
- Current CPR/BLS certification.
- Valid Driver License.
- Reliable Transportation.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Some travel required.
About the role
Seeking a Part-Time Dental Assistant to work at our contracted county jails in the state of New Mexico. Professional will be providing on-site dental care in collaboration with a Dentist in a controlled/safe environment. This opportunity provides a great source of supplemental income and a valuable experience in a public health setting, while making a difference in health outcomes for incarcerated individuals.
