Dental Assistant

Responsibilities

• Perform a variety of patient care, office and laboratory duties
• Affix to the dentist chairside during examination and treatment of a variety of procedures
• Provide a 10-star Patient experience
• Prepare instruments and materials for the dentist for upcoming procedures
• Provide direct patient care in all dental services, including restorative, ortho, pediatric, endo, periodontics, prosthodontics and OSP
• Pass dental instruments between provider and assistant (4-handed dentistry)
• Make patients as comfortable as possible in the chair while preparing them for treatment
• Sterilize & disinfect instruments, equipment and operatories post treatment
• Instruct patients on pre- and post-operative procedures and provide oral health education
• Passes dental instruments between provider and assistant (4-handed dentistry)
• Keep treatment records such as charting existing restorations as well as planned treatment
• Maintain a watchful eye on daily supplies for restocking
• Aid the dentist in providing patients with instructions for care post-treatment procedures

Requirements

• Minimum six months of assistant experience
• Excellent verbal, interpersonal, customer service & written communication skills
• Clinical knowledge, skills along with patient care
• Prioritize and delegate tasks when appropriate
• Function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment

Qualifications

• Coronal polishing certificate preferred

Skills

• Proficient in obtaining dental radiographs and intra-oral scans/photos

Pay

$20-$23/hr., based on experience

Schedule

Full-time hours with a balanced schedule, Monday-Friday, 5 shifts per week (including 3 morning and 2 evening shifts)
