Overview

Lakeshore Family Dentistry is looking for a Dental Assistant in Glendale, WI to assist our clinical team by providing a high level of patient care and satisfaction while operating in a team-based environment.

As a Dental Assistant you are an integral part of the care team in providing support to the office and assisting the professional dental staff with treatment. Candidates must have prior dental assisting experience to be considered.

Schedule

  • Mondays 7am–7pm with a 2-hour lunch break from 12pm–2pm
  • Wednesdays 7am–12pm with no lunch break
  • Thursdays 2pm–7pm with no lunch break
  • Fridays 7am–3pm with a 30-minute lunch break from 11am–11:30am
  • The 1st and 3rd Saturdays of each month from 8am–3pm with no lunch break

Responsibilities

  • Clinical Support: Prepare treatment rooms, sterilize instruments, and assist dentists during procedures.
  • Patient Care: Welcome, comfort, and educate patients on oral hygiene and post-treatment care.
  • Radiography & Diagnostics: Take and develop X-rays, assist with impressions, and maintain study models.
  • Compliance & Safety: Ensure infection control protocols, maintain patient confidentiality, and follow workplace regulations.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and documentation, including scheduling and patient intake (if needed).
  • Help the dentist manage dental and medical emergencies by maintaining CPR certification, emergency drug and oxygen supply, and emergency telephone directory.

Qualifications

  • One year or more of on-the-job experience (with supporting documentation)
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Strong customer service and communication skills
  • Positive, team-oriented attitude with a willingness to learn
  • Reliable and detail-oriented with a professional demeanor
