Family Dental Group is looking for a Dental Assistant in Flint, MI to assist our clinical team by providing a high level of patient care and satisfaction while operating in a team-based environment. As a Dental Assistant you are an integral part of care team in providing support to the office and assisting the professional dental staff with treatment. • Full-time Schedule: Monday thru Thursday 8am to 5pm, Friday 8am to 4pm

Responsibilities

• Prepare treatment rooms, sterilize instruments, and assist dentists during procedures.
• Welcome, comfort, and educate patients on oral hygiene and post-treatment care.
• Take and develop X-rays, assist with impressions, and maintain study models.
• Ensure infection control protocols, maintain patient confidentiality, and follow workplace regulations.
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation, including scheduling and patient intake (if needed).
• Help dentist manage dental and medical emergencies by maintaining CPR certification, emergency drug and oxygen supply, and emergency telephone directory.

Qualifications

• One year on-the-job experience (with supporting documentation)
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Positive, team-oriented attitude with a willingness to learn
• Reliable and detail-oriented with a professional demeanor
• Candidates must have prior dental assisting experience to be considered.
