About the role
CoreCivic is seeking Dental Assistants who are passionate about providing high-quality care in an institutional setting.
Responsibilities
- Set up all instruments for each patient and treatment to be rendered
- Prepare impressions and filling materials
- Sterilize the dental unit and instruments used after each treatment
- Control medication, syringes, and other dental supplies or equipment
- Inventory dental supplies as required by established procedures
- Keep equipment and work area clean using appropriate sanitation methods
- Review dental services provided to prevent inappropriate use or duplication of services
- Review the status of inmates/residents for completion of necessary interventions and treatments
Qualifications
- High school diploma, GED certification, or equivalent
- One year of dental assisting experience
- Certificate or evidence of completion of a dental assistant training program, or other requirements meeting the criteria of the Dental Practice Act in the state of practice, in compliance with contract or applicable statutes
- A valid driver's license
- Minimum age requirement: Must be at least 18 years old
