About the role
Under the dentist's supervision, Dental Assistants perform medical and administrative skills to dental caregivers and supporting patients.
Responsibilities
- Assist with performing assessments and treatments.
- Perform diagnostic radiographs.
- Obtain alginate impressions for diagnostic and/or intra-oral appliances.
- Perform administrative or clerical duties as assigned.
- Maintain dental equipment and medical supplies including sterilizing instruments, reordering, stocking, cleaning and troubleshooting.
- Maintain examination areas.
- Work in clinical and operating room settings as needed.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- State certified as a Dental Assistant Radiographer
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or the American Red Cross
- Knowledge and understanding of the dental management of medically compromised patients to include cardiology, oncology, hematology, and infectious disease patients
Qualifications
- Two years of dental assisting experience
Skills
- Manual dexterity to pass instrumentation, hand mix impression material and stone / plaster, use applicator gun to express impression gun, trimming casts as well as operate PC.

Pay
- Minimum hourly: $16.47
- Maximum hourly: $23.61
