Responsibilities
- Teach dental assisting courses according to the lesson plan and syllabus as directed by the program supervisor
- Prepare and grade written and practical examinations
- Attend faculty meetings, in-service meetings, graduation ceremonies, and other events as required by the College
- Dress professionally in accordance with the faculty dress code
- Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned
Requirements
- Minimum of two years of work experience in the dental assisting field (with diploma, degree, or certificate)
- Minimum of three years of work experience in the dental assisting field (without diploma, degree, or certificate)
- Successful completion of High School, its equivalent, or a state-authorized examination certificate
- Successful completion of a Dental Assistant or diploma training program is preferred but not required
- Must be willing to take the RDA exam if not already certified
- RDA certification (within 75 days of employment)
- Ability to work effectively with diverse populations
- Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing
- Knowledge of and ability to apply relevant current education methodologies and techniques
Qualifications
- HS Diploma or equivalent (required)
- Degree, Diploma, or Certificate in the field (preferred)
Schedule
- Monday-Thursday: 8 am - 1 pm
- Friday-Sunday: Off
Pay
$23.08-$23.56/hour (based on scheduled hours, education, and experience)
