About the role

Denny's Cooks do more than follow a recipe. The food you create could be a mood-changer — maybe even a day-changer. Something delicious that ignites our guests’ taste buds just enough to take their minds off their problems, if even for a few minutes. A Denny’s Cook has a “Guests First” attitude, preparing guest selections, following set recipes and brand standards, presenting it on a great-looking plate, all while maintaining a clean and sanitary work environment.

Responsibilities

• Honor guest requests for special orders
• Correctly call the wheel
• Clean, complete side work, and organize supplies as required
• Monitor waste and other food cost controls
• Willingly assist other team members without being asked
• Provide total guest satisfaction

Requirements

• No experience necessary; we will teach you everything you need to know
• Must be 18 years of age or older
• Must have reliable transportation
• Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs periodically
• Must be able to bend, stoop, sit, stand, and walk
• Must be able to work with all Denny’s menu items

Pay

Minimum: $15.00 per hour; Maximum: $19.00 per hour
