Denial Specialist - Business Office - Full Time - Days - 8hr

About the role

The Denial Specialist is responsible for denial and AR management as defined by the Denial Manager. The role involves applying thorough knowledge of collections and using that knowledge to manage and resolve patient accounts through the audit and appeals process.

Responsibilities

• Possess and apply thorough knowledge of collections
• Apply knowledge to all aspects of a patient account involved in the audit and appeals process
• Accurately complete accounts receivable reconciliation

Requirements

• Education: High School Graduate or equivalent with some college preferred
• Experience: Five (5) years of experience required, including hospital billing and collection experience such as clinical denials or reference to a denials management department
• Knowledge: Thorough knowledge of medical terminology and coding

• Licensure: None required
