Demonstration Project Engineer - Undersea Systems

About the role

Ventus Executive Solutions is seeking a skilled Demonstration Project Engineer to support an innovative defense program. The role involves providing technical and programmatic support for a multi-stakeholder defense demonstration effort.

Responsibilities

• Support the lead systems engineer with schedule development
• Identify and plan tasks for supporting working groups
• Participate in working groups to maintain situational awareness and cohesion among stakeholders
• Collaborate closely with Technical Program Managers, project engineers, allied partners, technical warrant holders, safety engineers, and other key stakeholders to ensure alignment across all technical and programmatic activities

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or other technical field
• Submarine operations experience can be substituted for a technical degree
• 5-10 years submarine experience, or experience with subsystems and/or operations
• Strong knowledge of submarines and submarine operations
• Able to draft schedules, program plans, and milestone presentations for multinational teams
• Excellent communication skills, written and verbal
• Prominent ability to collaborate across functional and technical teams

Qualifications

• Desired Experience: Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
• Proficiency with scheduling tools for developing and maintaining program schedules
• Strong ability to build and foster relationships across diverse technical and programmatic stakeholders
