Responsibilities

  • Provide guidance and daily supervision to staff in the department.
  • Support and administer operational goals and monitor performance and profit objectives.
  • Adhere to scheduling, coordinate with manager on scheduling concerns, and focus on guest satisfaction.
  • Administer all aspects of food preparation, ensuring the kitchen is clean, well‑stocked, and problem‑free.
  • Support compliance with departmental budgets.
  • Promote and demonstrate superior customer service in accordance with department and company standards.
  • Ensure customer service standards are followed by all team members and address issues as they arise.
  • Maintain cost‑control methods by monitoring pars and inventory in each restaurant.
  • Assist the Sous Chef with administrative duties.
  • Maintain quality‑assurance procedures to meet health department and customer service standards.
  • Ensure regulatory compliance within the area of responsibility and report potential issues to management.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality in all departmental and company matters.

Requirements

  • At least 18 years of age.
  • High School Diploma or GED required; minimum of two years culinary experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Supervisory experience preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Flexibility to work all shifts, including holidays, nights, weekends, and overtime as business needs dictate.
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to present information and respond to questions from managers, clients, customers, and the public.
  • Mathematical skills: add, subtract, multiply, divide, compute rates, ratios, percentages, and interpret bar graphs.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to interact with guests, staff, and colleagues and resolve problems diplomatically.

Pay

Initial placement within the salary range is based on an individual's relevant knowledge, skills, and experience. Base salary is one component of a competitive Total Rewards package.
