Job Description
Supply Planning
- Manage a global supply plan for assigned products to maximize service levels to customers and optimize working capital spend, in line with global business guidelines and directions.
- Translate business and inventory needs into supply requirements, ultimately to supply to the commercial regions (US, Canada, EMEA, LATAM & CASAJ).
- Engage with the regional planning teams on management of long-term product supply shortages, setting up the right multi-echelon inventory targets to automate the propagation and distribution of the materials with shortages, and supporting manual allocation strategies to the regions to allow fair share deployment.
Operational Management
- Purchase order (receipts) adjustments to reflect accurate supply visibility to the regional teams.
- Tracking shipments to the regions to ensure each step is done appropriately and in a timely manner.
- Making allocation proposals when in short supply situations and managing allocations in LOT/SAP. Managing expediting supply orders when needed.
- Planning Master Data management to support accurate information flow to Regions and Plant.
- Working closely with the plant to understand capacity resources, LTP and lead product changes and launches.
IBP & S&OE Process Facilitation
- Key player of IBP process, setting up monthly plant Supply consensus with the manufacturing sites and participating in the Long-Term Planning (LTP) process.
- Timely collection and review of the appropriate information required for this forum to accurately determine global allocation plan.
- Execution of allocation plan/supply response from the Integrated Business Planning Process to the regional supply chain teams.
- Working closely with the plant to understand capacity resources, LTP and lead product changes and launches.
- Leading S&OE meetings with the Plant, validating weekly volume changes and raising major variances.
- Leading S&OE meetings with Regions and Global planners to update them on supply matters. Providing inventory projections for the respective product ranges considering Global Demand & Production plans.
Business Performance Management
- Responsible for achieving global performance metrics of Back order, Line fill and Inventory levels of its portfolio.
- Supporting the business launch strategy from a supply chain point of view (start-up of lines for stock build, shelf-life management, etc.).
- Supporting continuous improvement and cost reduction or efficiency initiatives.
- Executing manual allocation of products to regional distributions hubs.
- Working with regional supply chain teams to achieve an optimal distribution network and maintaining a key coordination point with local warehouse management and transportation functions.
Education/Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering, Logistics, or Operations.
- 5+ years of experience in Supply Planning.
- Demonstrated working knowledge of SAP (APO, SCM DP/SP or other tools). Knowledge of Kinaxis would be a plus.
- Strong data analytics in Excel and Power BI.
- Tangible and proven experience with inventory management and network optimization.
- Knowledge and awareness of Lean techniques and Six Sigma.
