About the role

Amazon's Worldwide Grocery Stores (WWGS) is seeking a motivated Demand Planner to join our fast-paced demand planning team. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a dynamic environment, moves quickly, and is eager to learn and grow with our business.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain accurate demand forecasts for Amazon product categories.
  • Analyze sales trends, seasonality, and promotional impacts to optimize inventory levels.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including supply chain, operations, and merchandising
  • Monitor forecast accuracy and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Support new product launches with data-driven forecasting.
  • Identify and communicate supply-demand imbalances proactively.
  • Create reports and dashboards to track key performance metrics.
  • Participate in weekly and monthly business reviews.
  • Demonstrate ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt quickly to changing priorities.
  • Exhibit strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or a related field
  • 2+ years of supply chain, forecasting, manufacturing, sourcing/procurement, or vendor management experience
  • Knowledge of writing and optimizing SQL queries in a business environment with large-scale, complex datasets
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Excel at an advanced level, including: pivot tables, macros, index/match, vlookup, VBA, data links, etc.
  • Experience providing and effectively communicating strategic and tactical recommendations based on data

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of methods for statistical inference (e.g. regression, experimental design, significance testing)
  • Experience with one or more analytics visualization tools (e.g., Excel, Tableau, QuickSight, MicroStrategy, PowerBI)
  • Experience with purchasing or inventory management in e-commerce or retail
  • 3+ years of demand planning and forecasting experience
  • Experience within e-commerce or Retail fields
  • Experience utilizing AI to improve Demand planning and forecasting models
