About the role
As a Demand Planner at Larchmont, NY / New York, NY HQ – Operations, you will be responsible for forecasting demand, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and ensuring inventory levels are optimized to meet customer needs.Responsibilities
- Forecast demand trends using historical data and market insights
- Collaborate with sales, marketing, and production teams to align demand forecasts with business objectives
- Develop and maintain accurate inventory management systems
- Monitor inventory levels and adjust forecasts as necessary to prevent stockouts and excess inventory
- Stay updated on industry trends and competitor activities to inform demand planning strategies
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field
- Minimum 3 years of experience in demand planning or similar role
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other demand planning software
- Experience with inventory management systems and supply chain optimization tools
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Qualifications
- Proven ability to analyze complex data sets and make informed decisions
- Knowledge of statistical methods and their application to demand forecasting
- Experience with demand planning software such as SAP, Oracle, or similar
- Understanding of lean manufacturing principles and their impact on demand planning

- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and demand planning software
- Strong problem-solving and critical thinking abilities
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
