Responsibilities
- Operate a truck and safely perform job duties in compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations and company policies
- Deliver waste and recycling carts and bins to customers and vendors
- Complete proper documentation on deliveries and removals
- Conduct pre-trip/post-trip inspections and complete logs
- Maintain and update work orders
- Professionally interact with co-workers, and internal/external customers, providing excellent customer service to all
- Assist in other projects or areas as needed
- Operate other types of trucks as needed
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Ability to read and understand a map/GPS
- Excellent truck driving/maneuvering skills
- General knowledge of vehicle mechanics
- Ability to use small power tools for basic repairs on containers
- Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with internal and external customers

Qualifications
- Waste industry experience, a plus
- 1-2 years of previous experience driving a large company van or truck, preferred
Physical Requirements
- Continuous lifting/carrying/pushing/pulling a max of 20 lbs
- Frequent lifting/carrying/pushing/pulling a max of 35 lbs
- Sometimes lifting/carrying/pushing/pulling a max of 50 lbs
- Rarely lifting/carrying/pushing/pulling a max of 75 lbs
- Continuous working outside in changing temperatures, wet/humid conditions
- Continuous working in areas of dust, odors, mist, gases, and other airborne matter
- Sometimes stooping/kneeling/crouching/crawling
- Continuous climbing and/or balancing
- Frequent sitting/standing/walking in an office environment
Additional Working Conditions/Aspects
- Must have a valid DOT Medical Card or able to obtain prior to hire
- Must be at least 19 years of age
- No more than 3 moving violations within the last 2 years
- No more than 2 DUI's or OVI's within the last 10 years
- Exposure to high traffic conditions and/or tight driving areas
- Exposure to residential and commercial waste
- Ability to travel between offices, as required
- Ability to work flexible hours; expected to work nights and weekends as needed
- Ability to work overtime, weekends, and/or holidays
- Valid driver’s license (if applicable)
- Must successfully complete pre-employment testing
- Must be able to read and speak the English language
