Delivery Specialist-3

Pay

Compensation range: $16.00 - $22.00 per hour. Additional compensation may include annual/quarterly performance bonuses and premiums based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed; multiple premiums may apply.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and operate store vehicles to deliver parts/products to professional customers safely and efficiently.
• Collect money on C.O.D. deliveries and pick up customer returns.
• Operate delivery fleet management hand‑held devices to process deliveries, capture signatures, update mileage, complete daily vehicle inspections, etc.
• Keep vehicles clean, maintained, and complete daily inspections prior to operation.
• Secure delivery vehicles, keys, fuel/fleet credit cards, hand‑held devices, and collected monies at all times.
• Pick up customer returns (new, warranty, cores, etc.) and fill out driver return slip.
• Communicate customer problems or special needs to store management.
• Report vehicle maintenance needs, accidents, or damage to store manager immediately.
• Ensure fuel tank is filled and lock/secure vehicle at end of day.
• Clock in/out per company policy.
• Perform additional duties as assigned, including customer service, sweeping, general stocking/straightening, merchandising, running errands, handling core returns, checking in and putting up stock orders, etc.
• Occasionally assist customers, serve as cashier, or help with merchandising tasks as business dictates.

Requirements

• Ability to quickly match alphanumeric sequences.
• Strong interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to adapt quickly and effectively to changing delivery situations.
• Driving record must meet the company’s 14/18‑point record system standard.
• Possess a legally required state driver’s license and meet company mandated driving eligibility requirements.

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with automotive parts.
• Ability to operate other light store equipment.
• Fluency in multiple languages; Spanish is highly desired.
