Delivery Propane Driver

About the role

The Propane Delivery Driver position requires an individual to safely drive a propane delivery vehicle to customer locations. This position also requires someone with a positive and enthusiastic attitude toward Safety, Sales, customer Service and Employee Teamwork. Making deliveries in all types of weather and conditions. Overtime is possible in the heating season. If you’re dependable, customer-focused, and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, we’d love to hear from you! The job operates in the field, entering customers’ homes and/or place of business, and may involve working in hot attics or cold places, occasionally exposed to small working spaces, fumes, moving mechanical parts, vibration, and extreme weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Achieve delivery objectives set forth by the local District Manager.
• Inspect vehicle daily and report any problems in accordance with company policy and DOT regulations.
• Safely drive a propane delivery vehicle to customer locations.
• Maintain a positive and enthusiastic attitude toward Safety, Sales, Customer Service and Employee Teamwork.
• Prior gas delivery experience helpful.
• Ability to work outdoors in various weather and driving conditions.
• Communicate clearly and effectively with existing and potential customers.
• Flexibility to work outside of basic job description.
• Provide excellent customer service.
• Desire to succeed and advance in a team environment.

Requirements

• Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with Hazmat endorsement.
• Tanker endorsement.
• Air brakes endorsement.
• Minimum 2-year CDL license.
• Prior gas delivery experience helpful.

Qualifications

• Pass pre-employment DOT physical, drug test and Homeland Security Background Check.
• Good interpersonal skills and willingness to take direction from plant manager.
• Employees must be capable of frequently lifting 50 pounds.
