Key Responsibilities
- Participate in technical discussions and architecture design, presenting ideas through whiteboarding and design reviews
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced agile environment
- Design and develop scalable backend components and microservices
- Ensure code quality through best practices, unit testing, and automation
- Define interfaces and communication between system components
- Contribute to build, release, and deployment pipelines
- Continuously improve system performance, scalability, and reliability
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or related STEM field
- 7+ years of professional software engineering experience
Technical Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of Object-Oriented Analysis and Design, Software Design Patterns and coding principles
- Hands-on experience in microservices architecture and development
- Experience with databases such as Oracle MySQL, Sybase, PostgreSQL etc.
- 7 years or more experience in Java(Spring Framework) and or Go
- PREFERRED: Experience in Python scripting
- PREFERRED: Experience in ServiceMesh, Containers and Kubernetes technologies
- PREFERRED: Hands-on experience in building cloud-based software leveraging cloud and open source technology and frameworks
- Experience in building scalable and highly available distributed systems
- Experience in assessing application performance and optimizing/improving it through design and best coding practices
- Be an expert in core data structures as well as algorithms and can implement them using language of choice
- PREFERRED: Understanding and experience in one of the public clouds (AWS, Azure) native services
- PREFERRED: Experience in agile software development
