Delivery Professional

About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and reliable full-time Delivery Professional to join our team at our Romulus, MI Service Center. This position is responsible for delivering new caskets to funeral homes in the surrounding area using company box trucks and vans, while also contributing to warehouse operations.

Responsibilities

• Delivery of new caskets to funeral homes in the surrounding area using company box trucks and vans.
• Assist in warehouse operations, including prepping, loading and unloading caskets, inventory management, and maintaining an organized workspace.
• Provide friendly and welcoming customer service.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) preferred.
• Previous delivery driver experience preferred; or equivalent combination of education and education and experience.
• Must be at least 21 years of age or older.
• Must have a current driver’s license (CDL is NOT required).
• Ability to pass a DOT Physical and MVR Check.
• Maintain a safe driving record, demonstrating responsible and cautious driving behavior.
• Basic proficiency in MS Office Suite, Outlook, and Internet applications.
• Basic analytical, prioritizing, interpersonal, problem-solving, presentation, and planning skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Basic understanding and application of mathematical concepts.
• Ability to develop and maintain collaborative relationships with peers, colleagues, and clients.
• Ability to work autonomously and within a team in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment.
• Self-motivated with critical attention to detail and reporting.
• Ability to work overtime as necessary.

Physical Requirements

• Regularly required to stand, walk, sit, use hands to handle or feel, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
• Regularly lift and/or move up to 50+ pounds.
• Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
• Occasionally exposed to wet/humid conditions, moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles, extreme cold & heat, risk of electrical shock, and toxic or caustic chemicals.
• The noise level in the work environment may be high.

Pay

$20 per hour.

Schedule

• Monday - Friday, 6am - 2pm.
• Rotating weekend availability needed.
