About the role

We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Part-Time Delivery Professional to join our team at our Wichita, KS Service Center. This position is responsible for delivering new caskets to funeral homes in the surrounding area using company box trucks and vans.

Schedule

• 7am - 2pm, 3 - 4 days a week (days may vary)
• Saturday availability required
• 20 - 25 hours weekly

Pay

$21 hourly

Responsibilities

• Deliver new caskets to funeral homes in the surrounding area using company box trucks and vans
• Assist in warehouse operations including prepping, loading and unloading caskets, inventory management, and maintaining an organized workspace
• Provide friendly and welcoming customer service
• Perform additional duties as assigned

Requirements

• Must be at least 21 years of age or older
• Current driver’s license (CDL is NOT required)
• Ability to pass a DOT Physical and MVR Check
• Maintain a safe driving record, demonstrating responsible and cautious driving behavior
• High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) preferred
• Previous delivery driver experience preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Basic proficiency in MS Office Suite, Outlook, and Internet applications
• Basic analytical, prioritizing, interpersonal, problem-solving, presentation, and planning skills
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Basic understanding and application of mathematical concepts
• Ability to develop and maintain collaborative relationships with peers, colleagues, and clients
• Ability to work autonomously and within a team in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment
• Self-motivated with critical attention to detail, deadlines, and reporting
• Ability to work overtime as necessary

Physical Aspects

• Regularly required to stand, walk, sit, use hands, reach, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
• Regularly lift and/or move up to 50+ pounds
• Specific vision abilities required: close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus
• Occasionally exposed to wet/humid conditions, moving mechanical parts, fumes, airborne particles, extreme cold/heat, risk of electrical shock, and toxic/caustic chemicals
• Noise level in the work environment may be high
