About the role

Amazon Web Services Professional Services (ProServe) is seeking an experienced Delivery Practice Manager (DPM) to join the ProServe Shared Delivery Team. In this role, you'll manage a team of ProServe Delivery Consultants while supporting AWS enterprise customers through transformative projects. You'll leverage your IT and/or Management Consulting background to serve as a strategic advisor to customers, partners, and internal AWS teams.

Key job responsibilities

  • Building and managing a team of Delivery Consultants and/or Engagement Managers working with customers and partners to architect and implement innovative solutions
  • Routinely engaging with Director, C-level executives, and governing boards
  • Driving opportunity capture and engagement delivery
  • Working closely with partner teams and driving business development initiatives through thought leadership
  • Providing portfolio guidance and oversight
  • Meeting and exceeding customer satisfaction targets
  • Understanding and defining business outcomes for customers by building trust, identifying applicable AWS Professional Services offerings, and creating proposals and Statements of Work
  • Optimizing team performance through implementing tailored people development plans
  • Ensuring teams are aligned to customer needs and have the skills and capacity to address customer outcomes
  • Translating technical concepts into business value for customers and then talking in technical depth with teams
  • Cultivating strong customer, Amazon Global Sales (AGS), and ProServe team relationships to enable exceptional business performance
  • Scoping technical requirements for engagements, delivering engagements on time and within budget, and exceeding customer expectations
  • Holding the Practice total utilization goal and being responsible for optimizing team performance

Basic qualifications

  • 3+ years of cloud based solution (AWS or equivalent), system, network and operating system experience
  • 7+ years of external or internal customer facing, complex and large scale project management experience
  • 5+ years of cloud architecture and solution implementation experience
  • Bachelor's degree, or 7+ years of professional or military experience
  • Must be a US Citizen

Preferred qualifications

  • Degree in advanced technology, or AWS Professional level certification
  • Knowledge of AWS services including compute, storage, networking, security, databases, machine learning, and serverless technologies
  • Knowledge of security and compliance standards including HIPAA and GDPR
  • Experience in performance optimization and cost management for cloud environments
  • Experience communicating technical concepts to diverse audiences in pre-sales environments

Pay

USA, TX, Dallas: 153,600.00 - 207,800.00 USD annually

USA, VA, Arlington: 153,600.00 - 207,800.00 USD annually

USA, VA, Herndon: 153,600.00 - 207,800.00 USD annually
