About the role
Gulfeagle Supply is a family-owned business that distributes residential and commercial roofing and building products. The company serves professional contractors and homeowners, architects, and general contractors.
Responsibilities
- Delivery: Load or assist in loading and securing materials on trucks daily. Verify quantities for accuracy. Locate and direct driver to job sites.
- Roof Top: Deliver materials on a pitch of up to an 8/12 roof. Ensure proper stacking and distribution.
- Equipment: Ensure truck is properly equipped for delivery. Fill coolers, strap materials, load ladders, and perform other tasks as needed.
- OSHA: Comply with OSHA regulations related to both personal and company safety.
- Inventory: Assist in taking inventory quarterly or as needed.
- Maintenance: Keep warehouse, yard, and trucks in good condition. Perform minor repairs as necessary.
- Safety: Handle materials safely. Operate vehicles safely on customer and company properties. Report any safety concerns.
- Customer Service: Aide customers with materials, report delivery and service issues, and perform other duties as needed.
Requirements
- Read, write, and comprehend English or Spanish as required by the branch location.
- Knowledge of roofing material and/or construction and distribution.
- Ability to understand and carry out oral and written directions.
- Ability to lift up to 100 pounds of material continuously for up to two hours at a time.
- Ability to work on multi-story buildings at various heights.
- Attention to detail to prevent damage to materials and equipment.
- Able to maintain loyalty to Gulfeagle Supply.
- Able to interact with the public courteously and professionally.
- Able to handle all job functions safely.
- Pass substance abuse screening.
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience: No prior experience required.
- Licenses: None required.
