Responsibilities
- Operate all store equipment and handle ingredients.
- Prepare product and receive/process telephone orders.
- Take inventory and complete associated paperwork.
- Clean equipment and facility daily.
- Deliver pizzas and beverages to customers within a designated area.
- Navigate adverse terrain, including multi-story buildings and private homes.
- Deliver flyers and door hangers.
Requirements
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Valid driver’s license with a safe driving record meeting company standards.
- Access to an insured vehicle for deliveries.
- Navigational skills to read maps and locate addresses.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide quickly and accurately.
- Verbal, writing, and telephone skills to process orders.
- Motor coordination for rapid and precise movements (e.g., entering orders via keyboard/touch screen).
Skills
- Ability to comprehend and give correct written/verbal instructions.
- Strong communication skills for interacting with customers and co-workers.
- Ability to work under stress, meet quality control standards, and make judgments/decisions.
- Experience with basic tools and equipment (e.g., computers, calculators, pizza cutters).
Work Conditions
- Exposure to varying weather conditions (e.g., when delivering or taking out trash).
- In-store temperatures range from 36°F in coolers to 90°F+ in work areas.
- Fumes from food odors, cornmeal dust, and cramped quarters (e.g., walk-in cooler).
- Hot surfaces/tools (ovens up to 500°F or higher) and sharp edges/moving mechanical parts.
- Tasks requiring near/mid-range vision, depth perception, and night vision for driving.
- Ability to differentiate between hot and cold surfaces.
Physical Requirements
- Standing: Most tasks performed while standing; work surfaces range from 36" to 48" high.
- Walking: Short distances for short durations (e.g., between store and delivery vehicle).
- Sitting: Paperwork completed at a desk or table.
- Lifting: Cases of ingredients/supplies up to 50 lbs (stacked onto shelves up to 72" high).
- Carrying: Pizza dough trays (12 lbs each), large cans (3 lbs), and 30-lb pizza sauce containers.
- Pushing/Pulling: Trays on dollies (requiring up to 7.5 lbs of force).
- Climbing: Navigating stairs/ladder for maintenance or multi-story deliveries.
- Stooping/Bending: Forward bending at pizza assembly station and front counter.
- Crouching/Squatting: Occasionally to stock shelves or clean low areas.
- Reaching: Continuously (up, down, and forward) for tasks like stocking or answering phones.
Training
