Delivery Driver / Warehouse Associate
About the Role
Transport materials to customers and perform warehouse associate duties. This position involves driving a truck or van to deliver products, handling warehouse tasks, and maintaining strong customer relationships.
Responsibilities
- Safely drive truck or van to transport materials within a specified area; verify loads against shipping papers and obtain signed receipts for delivered materials.
- Scan each delivery into the system before leaving the warehouse; maintain truck log according to state and federal regulations.
- Determine the best route for timely and effective product delivery; record delivery information and inspect truck equipment and supplies to ensure safe operation.
- Perform physical tasks such as lifting and moving inventory, loading and unloading trucks, and operating warehouse equipment safely and according to manufacturer instructions.
- Follow all company safety procedures while operating warehouse equipment.
- Perform material handler duties when not engaged in primary responsibilities.
- Promote and maintain good customer relations; identify and act on opportunities for new sales.
- Communicate customer feedback, including complaints, requests, returns, competitive information, and potential opportunities, to company management.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Steel-toed boots required.
- CDL not required, but must pass DOT medical exam.
Schedule
Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM.
Pay
The expected pay rate for this position starts at $17.00 per hour, depending on experience.
