Delivery Driver - Waco, TX (9042)

About the Role

This position reports to the A‑Line Store Manager. The A‑Line Store Delivery Driver is responsible for delivering product to customers from the servicing A‑Line store and picking up returns, using a company‑provided vehicle. The driver must verify that all parts delivered match the accompanying invoice(s). The role may also include in‑store duties, representing the company positively, and maintaining good customer relations.

Primary Responsibilities

• Verify product, load and unload product at the customer location using equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, or hand trucks.
• Transport invoiced products to the appropriate customer utilizing dispatch and delivery‑tracking software.
• Represent the company in a positive way, demonstrating strong customer‑relation skills.
• Perform daily vehicle inspections (checking gasoline, oil, water, tires) and fill as required.
• Record and report any equipment malfunctions on the Inspection Sheet reviewed by the Store Manager.
• Handle customer payments and make change when necessary.
• Maintain a satisfactory attendance record.
• Keep the work environment safe and clean by maintaining neat shelves, pallet areas, work stations, and shipping supply areas, complying with OSHA and company safety procedures.
• Perform all other tasks assigned by management.

Qualifications

• Ability to safely operate a vehicle and meet all company requirements for an approved driver.
• Courteous treatment of and assistance to customers.
• High degree of attention to prevent injury and damage while operating a company vehicle.
• Ability to follow oral and written instructions.
• Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division).
• Physical work involves continual walking, lifting, carrying, grasping, reaching, stooping, crouching, and may include climbing/descending stairs.
• Ability to lift a minimum of 60 lb continuously.
• Ability to read and write in English.
• Successful completion of background check and criminal history check.
• Pass a physical, human performance evaluation, and drug test.
• Attitude that supports the company’s goals and values.
• Maintain regular and prompt attendance.

Education

High school diploma or General Education Development (GED) preferred.

Certification

Valid Texas driver’s license (e.g., #AL123).
