Delivery Driver (Sprinter/Cargo Van) - Raleigh

About the role

The role involves delivering compostable goods to office and restaurant customers, collecting 4-gallon bins containing food waste, and leaving a clean, empty bin behind for each collected. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 6 am - 2 pm.

Responsibilities

• Service 100 (local) residential accounts per shift, including doorstep household and walk-in office locations.
• Deliver compostable goods to office and restaurant customers on occasion.
• Collect 4-gallon bins containing food waste, and leave a clean, empty bin behind for each collected.
• Leave the customer’s location clean and free of debris.
• Return to the CompostNow warehouse to unload your van at the end of your route.
• Pre- and post-trip safety/vehicle checks.
• Weigh bins and record bin weights.
• Take service notes.
• Maintain a clean vehicle.
• Approach operational updates with adaptability and a willingness to learn.

Requirements

• Comfortable maneuvering large vehicles.
• Clean driving record.
• Pass a background check.
• Operate vehicles in accordance with CompostNow safety rules, OSHA and DOT requirements, and local, state, and federal laws.
• Demonstrate commitment to safety.
• Desire a physically active working environment.
• Willingness to work outside in all elements.
• Demonstrate commitment to customer service.
