About the role
Domino's Pizza Delivery Drivers are responsible for delivering orders to designated locations on time with punctuality and honesty. Drivers must know how to read a basic road map, ensure orders are delivered correctly and courteously, and maintain delivery vehicles before and after shifts. The role also involves aiding in food preparation, taking customer orders, cleaning duties, and rotating food shipments, which may require lifting up to 50 pounds.
Team members may work outdoors in various temperatures, in noisy environments, near moving mechanical parts, with dangerous equipment or sharp tools, and around fumes, odors, dust, or toxic chemicals. The job is physically demanding, requiring repetitive hand use, prolonged standing, bending, twisting, reaching, crouching, stooping, or kneeling.
Responsibilities
- Pre-delivery vehicle preparations
- Learning the delivery area
- Checking orders for quality and accuracy
- Providing quality customer service through positive and professional interaction with customers in person or by phone
- Food preparation and packaging
- Taking orders and collecting payments
- Cleaning and maintenance of the store and its equipment
- Rotating commissary deliveries
Requirements
- Attention to detail
- Sense of urgency in all aspects of the job
- Customer-focused with strong initiative
- Cash management skills
- 18 years of age or older
- Valid driver’s license for two or more years in the state where the team member works
- Acceptable motor vehicle report/driving abstract (no more than two moving violations and one accident in the last year; no DUI or speeding tickets over 24 mph)
- Insured and satisfactory vehicle
- Ability to work long hours, including nights, weekends, and as emergencies arise
- Willingness to learn and be cross-trained for other restaurant duties
Pay
State minimum wage, plus reimbursement per mile at $0.43 per mile, data reimbursement for cell phone usage, and credit card/cash tips paid by customers.
Pay range: $17.13–$17.60 per hour.
