Delivery Driver Non CDL Home Daily

About the role

Ryder is hiring a Non‑CDL Truck Driver based in Sacramento, CA. You will operate a well‑maintained straight truck (26′) equipped with a pallet jack, dolly, and liftgate, handling touch‑freight (HVAC) on a local home‑daily route in the North Bay Area. Trucks are 36 months or newer with 24/7 roadside maintenance and fueling available at over 800 nationwide locations. Paid training is provided.

Responsibilities

• Safely drive the vehicle while complying with safety regulations and continuous training.
• Ensure compliance with applicable federal and/or state laws, regulations, and agency rules, standards, and guidelines.
• Detect and eliminate or minimize safety hazards.
• Maintain accurate records.
• Load/unload freight or assist in loading/unloading as required by the customer.
• Perform other tasks as assigned.

Requirements

• Minimum 21 years of age.
• At least 6 months of verifiable driving experience (must be in like equipment for a straight/box truck): 6 months in the past 3 years, OR 2 years within the last 5 years, OR 5 years within the last 10 years.
• Pass a Ryder drug test.
• Pass a Ryder background and motor vehicle check, including drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3 years.
• Pass a DOT physical.
• Pass a Ryder road test.
• Hold a valid driver’s license.

• Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions.
• Ability to read, interpret, and apply laws, rules, regulations, policies, and procedures.

Pay

$1,050 per week (equivalent to $26.25 per hour for a 40‑hour work week).

Schedule

Monday – Friday, start time 4:00 AM.
