About the Role

As a Delivery Driver, the primary function of this position is to deliver furniture to customers in a professional and efficient manner to encourage repeat business. The role also focuses on maximizing quality and efficiency scores to improve customer satisfaction. Your contributions will ensure the success of the Operations Department at CITY HOME.

This is a commission-driven position where associates can earn between $800 - $1,100 per week. Associates are paid every Friday, and compensation is complemented by an extensive benefits package.

Responsibilities

• Deliver and install furniture in customers' homes in a friendly, professional manner using proper material handling techniques to prevent damage and personal injuries
• Open and inspect products for parts or damages prior to leaving the Distribution Center to ensure successful delivery
• Drive company vehicles safely
• Contact customers upon leaving the Distribution Center to provide a two-hour delivery time frame
• Load and unload products using proper material handling techniques and equipment to minimize damages
• Contact customers and the Customer Care Department for any unforeseen changes to the daily plan
• Work in the Distribution Center as needed

Requirements

• Must be able to complete a pre-employment drug test, background check, and physical ability test
• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent trade school education
• Must be at least 21 years old
• Valid Florida Driver's License (no CDL required)
• Clean driving record

Work Environment & Schedule

• Full-time position, typically starting at 6 AM until all assigned deliveries are completed
• Includes weekends
• Primarily in a large, non-air-conditioned Distribution Center (warehouse)

Physical Requirements

• Heavy lifting (75 lbs or more)
• Intermittent sitting, occasional standing, bending, and squatting

Technology Requirements

• Knowledge of Microsoft Office programs (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.)
• Familiarity with Google Suites (Docs, Sheets, Slides, etc.)
