Delivery Driver | No CDL Required | Home Daily

The Delivery Driver plays a crucial role in supporting our purpose of creating lasting value for those we serve by providing efficient and safe delivery of our products and services, while representing the company in a professional manner. This role develops and maintains positive relationships with customers through effective communication, ensuring quality and accuracy of products, and keeping customers informed about company services. The Delivery Driver also contributes to sales by identifying additional business opportunities with current customers, passing leads to sales teams, and sharing customer and competitor intelligence.

Responsibilities

• Deliver products to local customers and obtain proof of delivery.
• Provide excellent customer service.
• Load and unload the vehicle in a safe and efficient manner.
• Adhere to all company safety policies and initiatives.
• Maintain a high standard of driving performance.
• Maintain compliance with all Department of Transportation (DOT) requirements.
• Communicate effectively with department leads and branches on all job-related issues.
• Maintain vehicle and shipping/receiving dock cleanliness and order.
• Follow processes and procedures for effective job performance.
• Participate in company process improvement initiatives.
• Provide coverage in areas with low staffing or high workload.
• Perform general maintenance and upkeep of the delivery vehicle.
• Conduct daily pre-trip and safety inspections on equipment.
• Occasionally provide back-up coverage for the Transfer Truck Driver, which may include additional DOT guidelines and off-shift hours.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Maintain a valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Ability to meet and maintain qualifications as required by the DOT.
• Class A CDL required.
• Six months of previous delivery or courier experience preferred.
• Demonstrated computer skills.
• Ability to lift 100 lbs.
• Knowledge of Eclipse preferred.
• Knowledge of handheld RF scanner is a plus.
• Ability to operate lift truck equipment.
• Ability to work a flexible shift, including up to 10 weeks on a 3rd shift to cover vacations.
