About the role
DME Express is a medical supply company dedicated to delivering the best service and equipment to the Hospice field. As a Delivery Driver/Technician, you will deliver and pick up medical equipment such as wheelchairs, hospital beds, and oxygen to hospice patients.
Responsibilities
- Determine or obtain the best daily route, assemble, deliver all needed equipment, and educate patients and families on proper equipment use.
- Enforce all DOT and FDA regulations pertaining to oxygen and durable medical equipment (DME).
- Ensure stock levels are appropriate and maintain cleanliness in the warehouse and delivery vehicle to the highest standards.
- Ensure all Medical Equipment Technicians adhere to company and accreditation standards.
- Provide patient/client orientation and instructions on the proper use of equipment when applicable.
- Act as a company field representative by working with patients/clients to solve a variety of problems.
- Complete delivery and pickup processes promptly and accurately through the company app.
- Assist in cleaning, disinfecting, and minor repair of equipment.
- Perform daily preventive maintenance on the assigned vehicle.
- Maintain a neat, clean personal appearance.
- Promote teamwork among co-workers, including assisting fellow drivers as needed.
- Work weekends (Saturday/Sunday) on a predetermined, rotating schedule.
- Take "on call" time on a predetermined, rotating basis during the week and weekends.
- Perform warehouse and office maintenance tasks as required.
- Demonstrate timeliness, courtesy, sincerity, and patience when working with clients.
- Market the company in a positive and professional manner at all times.
Requirements
- Must maintain a positive attitude at all times.
- Must be available for 24/7 operations, including a predetermined rotating on-call schedule.
- Must accept other duties and activities as assigned.
- Must have a clean driving record.
- Must be able to lift 75 pounds on a daily basis.

Pay
$16–$17 hourly wage.
