Delivery Driver II, '16in Trucks– San Diego (Local)

Major Duties and Responsibilities

• Supports Delivery team member, loads and unloads delivery trucks, maintains product organization and maintains food safety principles.
• Maintains a high level of professional uniform standards and personal hygiene.
• Inspects fruits and snacks for quality and brings issues to the attention of the manager.
• Works closely with Dispatch to verify daily delivery plan, route(s) for deliveries, potential road work that could delay or cause re-routing.
• Confirms customer orders against product deliveries to ensure accuracy and quality of product.
• Engages with school and other representatives when making deliveries, demonstrating excellent customer service skills and communication.
• Ensures a positive disposition, conducts and presents themselves in a respectful and polite manner.
• Conducts vehicle pre-check inspections before departing to deliver goods.
• Spot checks product upon delivery and unloading to ensure product quality.
• Exercises good judgment and operational control of a company vehicle.
• Packs and loads products onto trucks, according to company specifications, and unloads trucks to meet customer / school program needs.
• Adheres to proper food handling requirements and temperature checks of chilled products such as milk, dairy, vegetables, etc.
• Manages the packing slips and delivery process, having customers sign for receipt of deliveries, noting any rejections or shorted products.
• Follows company protocol when questions or concerns are raised by customers.

• Follows safe working practices operating the vehicle, obeys speed limits, loading, and unloading.
• Keeps the truck/van interior and exterior organized, clean and sanitary throughout.
• Ensures proper care of equipment used to move or secure product inventory.
• Follows all required safe work and food safety practices. Includes vehicle safety precautions and wearing required PPE in designated areas.
• Corrects or reports on any food safety and food quality related issues to management immediately.
• Identifies and reports on mechanical vehicle issues that may occur.
• Supports preventive maintenance on trucks and equipment.
• Immediately reports any accident or property damage that may occur.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year experience working in a food service environment, with customer contact.
• Food Safety training or certifications helpful.
• Able to pass Safe Serve test.
• Able to pass a background check and drug test.
• Able to work an early morning flexible schedule and cover varied shifts.
• Positive and professional attitude and image.
• Demonstrated ability to be a self-starter who can common routines timely.
• Able to move, lift and carry products up to 50 pounds occasionally.

Pay

Revolution Foods provides a pay range of $18.00 - $19.50 per hour. Please note that actual pay may vary based on location and qualifications.
