About the role

Thistle Delivery Drivers are responsible for delivering plant-forward meals, snacks, desserts, and organic cold-pressed juices to customers. They represent Thistle’s quality, reliability, and care at each delivery stop.

Responsibilities

  • Arrive at the assigned Thistle location at your scheduled shift start with a fully charged smartphone and sufficient fuel.
  • Verify that all items are accounted for before leaving for deliveries.
  • Use the delivery app to complete assigned stops and follow customer instructions.
  • Collect return bags and ice packs and return them to your pickup location at the beginning of your next shift.
  • Communicate clearly and consistently with the dispatch team to keep routes moving.

Requirements

  • Valid driver’s license and good driving record.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Experience with mobile apps and GPS navigation systems.
  • Knowledge of local traffic laws and regulations.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • At least one year of experience as a delivery driver or similar role.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.

Skills

  • Proficient in using mobile apps and GPS navigation systems.
  • Good organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and consistently with customers and dispatchers.

Pay

Earnings at a Glance:

  • Base pay: $20.00 per hour to start.
  • Base wage escalator: Up to $2.00 more per hour based on delivery volume and hours worked.
  • Tips: Typically $1.00 to $3.00 per hour.
  • Cell phone reimbursement: $0.25 per hour.
  • Mileage reimbursement: $0.725 per mile.
  • Typical pace and distance: About 4.5 deliveries per hour at 4.0 miles per delivery on average.
  • Start rate before tips: $33.03 per hour.
  • Start rate with typical tips: $34.03 to $36.03 per hour.
  • With max escalator: $35.03 per hour before tips, $36.03 to $38.03 with typical tips.

Schedule

Shifts are typically 4.5 hours long and occur from 6:00 AM to 10:00 PM, Monday through Saturday. Specific shifts may vary based on business needs.
