Delivery Driver - Full-Time

About the role

This position involves safely and efficiently transporting products from the warehouse to customers via tractor trailer, ensuring proper delivery and unloading according to standards.

Responsibilities

• Safely delivering products
• Unloading in all weather conditions
• Handling damaged goods and returns
• Completing accurate paperwork (including logs, inspections, and invoices)
• Maintaining food safety and sanitary protocols
• Operating delivery equipment safely
• Building positive customer relationships through courteous service and clear communication
• Reporting route deviations, equipment issues, and customer concerns to management
• Transporting backhauls and line haul products correctly and on time
• Adhering to schedules, working outside usual hours as needed, and performing other duties assigned by management

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent preferred; valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License required. Must be able to read, speak, and write English sufficiently, and have at least one year of tractor trailer driving experience or completion of a driving school. Knowledge of DOT regulations, hazmat guidelines, and safe lifting practices is essential.

Skills

Skills include safe long-distance driving, problem-solving, effective communication, and basic math. Ability to handle hazardous and food items, operate various equipment, and perform physical tasks such as lifting up to 50 pounds and climbing in/out of trailers.

Requirements

Exposure to varied weather conditions, moving mechanical parts, and confined spaces. Physical requirements include sitting, lifting, pushing, pulling, and reaching. Vision and alertness are critical for safety. The role may involve overnight work, weekends, holidays, and overtime to meet customer needs.
