About the role
Deliver products to customers from Sherwin-Williams stores using box and flat-bed trucks. Drivers ensure deliveries are complete, packed correctly, and safely delivered to the correct customer, while maintaining customer satisfaction and transporting items in a safe, timely manner.
This role involves contact with customers (including minors), access to cash, payment methods, electronic equipment, personal information, store merchandise, and other items of value. A criminal-history review is required.
Responsibilities
- Prepare deliveries to meet customer requirements efficiently
- Load customer orders properly on the truck
- Complete appropriate delivery forms
- Load, transport, and deliver items to customers safely and on time
- Maintain the store vehicle and report repair or servicing needs to supervisor
- Provide excellent customer service, answer questions, and handle complaints
- Adhere to assigned routes and time schedules
- Abide by all transportation laws and maintain a safe driving record
- Prepare reports and other documents relating to deliveries
- Operate equipment such as cars, trucks, forklifts, and other material-handling machines
- Perform additional store tasks, including warehouse duties, tinting, mixing customer orders, and assisting customers
Requirements
- At least 21 years of age
- Legally authorized to work in the U.S. without current or future visa sponsorship
- Valid, unrestricted Driver’s License
- Valid Medical Examiner's Certificate (MEC) from a DOT-licensed examiner on the FMCSA National Registry, or willingness to obtain one within five business days of a conditional offer
- Able to retrieve material from shelves and floor stacks and lift/carry up to 50 lbs. frequently and up to 70 lbs. occasionally, with or without reasonable accommodation
- Willing to work all scheduled hours, including evenings and weekends, with or without reasonable accommodation
- Able to read and speak English sufficiently to converse with the public, understand highway signs, respond to inquiries, and complete reports
Preferred Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED
- At least one year of experience as a delivery driver
- At least one year of experience using material-handling equipment (e.g., forklifts, pallet jacks, hand trucks, order pickers, vacu-hoists, drum dollies, conveyor belts)
- Previous experience selling paint and paint-related products
- Ability to read, write, comprehend, and communicate in more than one language, including Spanish

Compensation is dependent on experience, skills, and other factors. The wage range for this role is provided considering various business and organizational needs.
