Responsibilities

  • Operate all store equipment.
  • Stock ingredients from delivery area to storage, work area, and walk-in cooler.
  • Prepare product and receive/process telephone orders.
  • Take inventory and complete associated paperwork.
  • Clean equipment and facility approximately daily.
  • Deliver orders to customers using a reliable vehicle.

Requirements

  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Clean 3-year driving record.
  • Reliable delivery vehicle.
  • Ability to comprehend and give correct written/verbal instructions.
  • Strong communication skills for processing orders over the phone and in person.
  • Basic math skills for handling monetary transactions and making change.
  • Motor coordination for rapid, precise movements (e.g., entering orders, handling pizza tools).

Skills

  • Verbal, writing, and telephone skills for order processing.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide quickly and accurately.
  • Proficiency in using computer keyboards or touch screens for order entry.

Work Conditions

  • Exposure to varying weather conditions when performing outside tasks (e.g., removing trash).
  • In-store temperatures range from 36°F in coolers to 90°F+ in work areas, with sudden temperature changes.
  • Exposure to food odors, cornmeal dust, and cramped quarters (e.g., walk-in cooler).
  • Hot surfaces/tools (ovens up to 500°F or higher) and sharp edges/moving mechanical parts.
  • Tasks requiring near and mid-range vision, depth perception, and the ability to differentiate hot/cold surfaces.
  • Ability to handle stress, direct activities, and make judgments/decisions.

Physical Requirements

  • Standing: Most tasks performed while standing on ceramic tile/linoleum surfaces.
  • Walking: Short distances for brief durations.
  • Sitting: Paperwork completed at a desk or table.
  • Lifting: Unloading deliveries (up to 50 lbs) and stacking onto shelves up to 72" high.
  • Carrying: Items like 3-lb cans, 30-lb pizza sauce, or trays of dough (12 lbs per tray).
  • Pushing/Pulling: Moving trays on dollies (force up to 7.5 lbs).
  • Climbing: Infrequent use of stairs/ladder for maintenance or sign changes.
  • Stooping/Bending: Forward bending at pizza assembly station (30–45 seconds at a time, repeated continuously).
  • Crouching/Squatting: Occasionally for stocking shelves or cleaning low areas.
  • Reaching: Continuously in all directions (up, down, forward) for tasks like stocking, cleaning, or operating equipment.
  • Hand Tasks: Frequent eye-hand coordination; forceful use of forearms/wrists for shaping dough, pinching boxes, and handling tools (e.g., pizza peel, cutter).
