Delivery Driver - Class A

About the role

Join Loffredo Fresh Foods as a Class A Delivery Driver based out of our Des Moines Headquarters. We are a local, family-owned food and produce distributor that has proudly served the Midwest region for over 130 years, distributing to 11 different states across our 5 locations. This is a home-daily position primarily supporting evening operations, transporting product between our Des Moines Headquarters and other Midwest branches to keep distribution efficient.

The ideal candidate is dependable, safety-focused, and flexible, with the ability to assist with branch-to-branch shuttles and provide coverage where needed.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate vehicles at all times and follow all safety guidelines
• Drive and unload in varying weather conditions
• Deliver and communicate with customers in a professional manner
• Unload products using a ramp and hand dolly
• Lift up to 50 lbs. frequently and 75 lbs. occasionally

Requirements

• Valid interstate-eligible driver's license, 21+ years of age
• Access to reliable and punctual transportation
• Pass a background check (including sex offender registry)
• Willing to recertify DOT Med Card and pass a DOT drug screen
• Able to pass a Motor Vehicle Check (MVR) and Clearinghouse full query
• Must be able to read and write English
• Attention to detail and accuracy in delivery orders
• Comfortable driving tractor trailers

Pay

$25 - $28 per hour (dependent on experience)

Schedule

• Start time between 5 PM and 8 PM
• Monday - Friday
