Delivery Driver (Auto Parts) - Waller, TX (8307)

Position Overview

This position reports to the A‑Line Store Manager. The A‑Line Store Delivery Driver is responsible for delivering product to customers from the servicing A‑Line store and/or picking up returns from customers using a company‑provided vehicle. The driver must verify that all parts delivered match the accompanying invoice(s). The role may also include in‑store duties, representing the company positively, and maintaining good customer relations.

Primary Job Functions

• Verify product, load and unload product at the customer location, and use equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, or hand trucks safely.
• Transport invoiced products to the appropriate customer using dispatch and delivery‑tracking software.
• Represent the company in a positive way, demonstrating strong customer‑relation skills.
• Perform daily vehicle inspections (gasoline, oil, water, tires) and fill as required; record and report any malfunctions on the Inspection Sheet reviewed by the Store Manager.
• Handle customer payments and make change when necessary.
• Maintain a satisfactory attendance record.
• Keep the work environment safe and clean by organizing shelves, pallet areas, work stations, and shipping supply areas, complying with OSHA and company safety procedures.
• Complete all other tasks assigned by Management.

• Ability to safely operate a vehicle and meet all company requirements for an approved driver.
• Courteous treatment of and assistance to customers.
• High degree of attention to prevent injury and damage when operating a company vehicle.
• Ability to follow oral and written instructions.
• Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division).
• Physical demands: continual walking, lifting, carrying, grasping, reaching, stooping, crouching; ability to lift a minimum of 60 lb continuously.
• Potential climbing and descending stairs.
• Ability to read and write in English.
• Successful completion of background check, criminal history check, physical/human performance evaluation, and drug test.
• Attitude that supports the company’s goals and values.
• Regular and prompt attendance.

Experience Requirements

No specific prior experience is required beyond the skills and qualifications listed.

Education Requirements

High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred.

Certification Requirements

Valid Texas driver’s license (e.g., #AL123).

Pay

Starting pay rate $14 per hour, with pay commensurate with experience.
