Delivery Driver-Atlanta-Home Daily

Empire Distributors Inc, a leading beverage distributor, is hiring a Route Delivery Driver for our Austell/Atlanta facility. Home nightly, no weekends, and no CDL required.

• $54,000 starting salary

Responsibilities

• Coordinates and plans delivery routes to service customers
• Delivers products such as beer, wine, liquor, and point-of-sale items to customers’ places of business
• Collects returnable items and empty containers, transporting them back to the distribution center
• Inspects loads to ensure proper packing and security, reducing product breakage and vehicle damage
• Conducts inventory of truck contents, accounting for overages and shortages
• Reviews and ensures correct loading of the vehicle, checking weight distribution for safety and stability
• Collects payments from customers and records transactions on customer receipts
• Records delivery information using provided delivery records
• Listens to and resolves service complaints, escalating issues to transportation management when needed
• Obtains customer signatures on receipts for pickup or delivery
• Performs preventative maintenance and safety checks on the vehicle, including DOT-regulated pre-trip and post-trip inspections
• Uses telematics devices for delivery routes and driver logs
• Performs other duties as assigned by transportation management

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• One to three months of related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Valid driver’s license and ability to obtain a DOT card
